Statement

Lael Marshall lives and works in New York City.

She graduated as Meisterschülerin from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich, Germany, (MFA equivalent).

She has shown her work at galleries and institutions in Germany, Switzerland, New York, Marfa, Texas, and most recently in Textility, at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and in an exhibition titled Eretai: John Beech, Lael Marshall, Michael Voss, David Rabinowitch, at the Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, California, January 12- March 31, 2012.

Her work can also be viewed at The Drawing Center's Viewing Program, and the Pierogi  Flatfiles. Her artist books have been on display at Printed Matter, and The New Museum bookstore in New York City.

Public/Corporate collections include  BMW AG, Hypo Vereinsbank, HUK-Coburg, Nordstern Versicherung GmBH, and Chambers Hotel, NYC.

In January, 2011 she was named Artist of the Month by BRIC Contemporary Arts, Brooklyn.
