Rachel Indergaard creates images, installations, and projects considering the production and reproduction of narratives-specifically those of progress. Often emphasizing the sensual and experiential, the work uses motifs and elements which hover at the edges of symbolism and science to discern the dichotimy between the metaphysical and material.
Indergaard completed a MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the Emerson Woeffler Scholarship, 2014, and full scholarship for social psychology study at Ehime University in Japan, 2012. Her work has been published, exhibited, and collected in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., U.K., Brazil, Belgium, Italy, and Japan.
