Renée Allem is a South African born Fine Artist, an Abstract Expressionist who lives to create, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Painting on a multitude of diverse surfaces, such as contorted metal sheets, wood, and glass. Allem’s work has evolved into larger scale Artworks, which are rich in texture and undulating paint creating a wealth of imagery. She experiments with mixing mediums, manipulating materials, incorporating lighting effects and constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity. Allem’s work also includes three-dimensional Sculptural Relief Art pieces constructed into innovative abstract forms using various scrap metals and wire from all over Africa.

Allem has consistently exhibited her work with various National and International galleries for the past 20 years. Art Dealers, Designers, and Collectors commission her work for private and corporate Art collections around the world. She also works on Corporate and Public Art Projects. This passion for the Arts has inspired her to teach others Art appreciation and to enhance the awareness of Art. Allem created an Art Program for hospitalized children designed as therapy and to provide them with an Art education. She has been invited to exhibit her work at the Biennale Internazionale in Florence, Italy for the past 6 years.
Allem's education includes studying for a Bachelor of Fine Art at Wits, Johannesburg, South Africa. She majored in painting and graphic printmaking. A fascination for design led her to further studies in Fashion, Interior and Graphic Design.
