Statement

William Kaminski was born in 1982, grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and moved to Los Angeles in 2001, where he studied a mixture of acting, directing, painting and music.  Eventually these diverse interests combined into a focused art practice mostly consisting of installation and video work.  He received a BA in Theater from Occidental College, a BFA in Fine Art Media from Art Center College of Design, and is currently pursuing his MFA at UCLA.

Kaminski also works as manager and co-curator at artist-run space, Control Room, in downtown Los Angeles.
