Butch, David Silvercloud, is not shy but quite reclusive.  He has mostly been involved in very high end commercial photography... fashion, corporate, cars, booze, beer, food, famous people.  Butch is retired now.  His personal photography centers upon male nudes.  Butch paints these days.   He's getting old, born in 1944.  He likes making videos and has quite a few videos on YouTube at  Butch News

To young artists out there... Art is a business.  You need to know that.  If you want to make art your profession you need to ask yourself how much money you need to live on, or how you are going to live to make your art.  But, unless you are wealthy, you need to get paid to survive.

Famous art is as much about being popular, sometimes lucky, as it is about being talented.  And what is talent?  Get used to the idea that there isn't much that hasn't already been done and anything goes these days so find some way of expressing yourself that is different than anything anyone else is doing.  And remember someone has to pay, sooner or later.

If you want to get into a gallery you need to show 15-25 pieces of finished work and show you have the determination to crank it out.  Almost anything will sell so just do it and promote yourself like crazy.
