I am an artist based in Monmouth, South Wales.
It is the intimate and unforgettable places in Nature that I like to share.
2008 saw my work inspired by the Newport Wetlands Reserve and the Severn Estuary.
Easter 2009 proved a turning point for me - I took a holiday in Tuscany, near Arezzo, in a villa surrounded by Olive Groves that every morning would be lit up by the spring light. I was also lucky enough to see the work of Piero della Francesca, it took my breath away. Since then my main focus has been, what deep down has been a lifelong love, TREES.
So, my most recent works have been drawings and paintings of Olive Trees; the hidden corners of English Gardensand Hampstead Heath; and, since December, Welsh Glades in the winter sun.
These special places give me the space to find calm in this frantic world. All I canhope is that within my artworks you can lose yourself like I did.
