Alison Monk

'm not afraid of getting dirty, especially if I'm creating something beautiful.  As an artist I crave several different things...painting, drawing, & ceramics are my passions.  I'm also working on adding the art of tattoo to that list very soon.  I can truly say that I am in love with all them & I wouldn’t be who I am without any of them.  I previously lived in San Francisco & had a 3 year stint at the Academy of Art University working towards obtaining a BFA in fine art with a minor in ceramics.  While there I also participated in several exhibitions… “The Finch Mob Gallery Premiere Exhibition” with the Finch Mob Arts Collective & “SF ArtSFest” at the Regency Center Ballroom were a few of my most memorable favorites.  Though after 5 years there in the tenderloin, becoming more & more broke & starving I felt drawn to move on to Sacramento.  And happily, the artistic energy here has been extremely inspiring and I know it will be a lovely place to thrive and succeed in the goals that I have for myself.
