Ce qui compte ce n’est pas le modèle féminin mais la perte de repères qu’il provoque. Avec ses portraits de femmes Frédérique Krzis-Lorent s’intéresse plus à un mouvement de déplacement et d’épure qu’à proprement parler de figuration. Standing there, in front of her paintings, people talk to me, people talk to be about them, and it’s immensely embarrassing.
