I am a classically trained musician, an educator, artist, mover, arts administrator, and culture maker whose interests lay in the ways others read the world and how their reading(s) influence everything. My work is rooted in creating spaces that allow folk to wallow in creative activity, learn from each other, and share with others while allowing room for all voices and ideas to be seen, felt, and heard.
Messy cultural collision is one of my favorite points of tension, contention; we can’t shy away from difference if we seek to understand.
I work to maintain a collaborative spirit in programming, planning, and creative practices, as I always hope to achieve bigger things than what I can possibly dream on my own. Urban cultural life is vast and varied, offering tremendous opportunities to innovate, actualize, and visualize meaningful artistic work and the full range of creative expressions.
The tangible and intangible spaces I envision foster a respect for that range and provide an openness that embraces the value of the creative in all of us.
