DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY AND THIS AMERICAN LIFE:
After traveling extensively in Italy, Spain, Algeria and, Tunisia I developed a degree of compassion for diverse cultures along with a fascination for the idea of social exclusion. Upon my return to the U.S. I earned a bachelor's degree in Geography at San Francisco State University followed by graduate studies in Fine Art at Otis College of Art and Design. I am currently embarked on a new journey through a city of unparalleled social complexity and contadictions. It is through documentary photography that I have fond a degree of success in portaiting an assortment of eccentric individuals, social misfits and street performers many of whom labor in obscurity or; those we just choose to ignore. These photographs are published in 2011 ( Edition Blurb ) " Los Angeles A Photographer View " by Ray Calvin Wortham.
