Xenia Zampolli

I am an LA based artist. Throughout my artistic journey, I have lived in several locations around the world and have been drawn to many different mediums. For the past 5 years I have been experimenting with feathers to translate a "pulse" in my artistic visions. I use feathers to emphasize the image's pure visual presence, rather than focusing on the personal creative act of painting. The images that transpire through the spiritual silence of meditation are the ones I base my work on. These repressed emotions usually emerge in the form of  "bursts" and in circular patterns. Some contain gradations of iridescence and dwindling color that turns my minimalistic, yet laborious approach into something oddly calming and mesmerizing.
