Art is not merely a tool to express one’s position on life or to critique it to one’s belief on utopia, but rather to inflict on the audience what an Artist feels in that point of their life. It enables them to truly understand the very same feeling with all of their senses. Through her paintings, Anna Davis does exactly that by forcing you to feel the inner yearnings endured throughout her life. Her Art is powerful and vivid, full of motion and grace. It is the very substance of both her dreams and struggles. Anna’s Art is but the total reflection of herself, her love, her fears, her anguish, her desires, her Life.
A 1974 graduate of Massachusetts College of Art with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art, Anna has gone though many stages and styles, ranging from the very abstract to the super realistic. She is a past member of the Society of Illustrators, a professional society based in New York City; consequently, Anna's art has graced book covers, billboards, posters, magazine, and a myriad of award-winning advertisement pages. Her paintings have been featured in New York, Boston and Florida galleries in addition to many private collections. Previous Florida exhibitions include: Apropos Art Gallery, Inc., East Las Olas, Ft. Lauderdale, Gallery Camino Real, Boca Raton, and Sherry French Gallery, Inc., Palm Beach.
