Franklin Melendez



Franklin Melendez is a Bay Area–based freelance writer and independent curator. He is a regular contributor to numerous print and online publications, including Tokion, Flaunt,, and San Francisco Magazine. His wide-ranging work has also included hybrid projects exploring the interrelation of art and commerce. He is currently working on an essay for Desiree Holman’s upcoming Hammer Projects, and the development of the arts and culture magazine Archive. He received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in 2009.
