Hello Ginger,
|
|
How are you doing? I think modern art is a blind man’s profession. We do not paint what we see, but what we feel. The mediums we use are always imperfect What makes a good piece is the ability to execute an idea, regardless of the means or the proportions or the medium. I hope my artwork “Blue Sky Thinking” makes you happy. It should remind you of something that you enjoy. If it tortures you please let me know.
All the best in the contest!
Cheers!

Hi Ginger,
I am really really touched by your reply. I am so sorry to hear about the trauma you must have faced.I intuitively knew that there was a tinge of sadness attached to this work. Now that you have told me about it and that of the uncharitable comments , I want to tell you that you are as normal a woman as anybody else. You can always have children though may not be biological ones. What is important is the LOVE between the parent and the child. Many times we see it lacking in real life.So go find LOVE. Life is beautiful and we are born in this world to live well. Thanks for spending much time in viewing my portfolio and the nice words.
Cheers

Hello
|
|
Thanks for connecting.
This is a personal piece about identity. The scars are from hysterectomy and the consequential view from some people that women are not whole unless they have children. The title of the piece is a comment made to me after I told them about my operations. So I'm basically saying that just because I can no longer have children does not make me any less a woman.
I'm going to check out your work now.
Best wishes,
Ginger

Hello Ginger,
|

Hi
Greetings from Bombay, India. I am a regular at Artslant and happened to come across your submissions. In this part of the world this kind of art is totally unacceptable. So, I am curious to know what you are trying to say and the thought process behind the subject matter. Even at this stage of my life, I am open to learning the new trends around the world. You are welcome to visit my portfolio.and offer your comments. I suspect that you might find it kinda boring!! Nothing heroic and path breaking, I am afraid. Thanks for you time.
Cheers
Seshadri
