The 2013 Prix de Rome exhibition at de Appel in Amsterdam got me thinking about payoff, the rewards of looking at art. Tucked deep into Zeeburgpad in Amsterdam Oost, past Browerij ‘t Ij there lurks the P/////AKT initiative space. Having underestimated the distance to the space as well as the severity of the December weather, it was a relief to finally arrive at my destination.
