Stefano Losi was born in 1969 by Lake Como, near Milan, where he was raised closely following the classical oil painting practice of his grandfather.
After having received his graduate degree at the Luigi Bocconi University of Milan in 1993, he worked in management roles in different international institutions, and currently at the United Nations in New York. In 2005 he was nominated Knight of the Italian Republic by President Ciampi.
“Violent Dances Fade” (Libertarian Poetical Fragments) is a personal art and poetry project that intends to foreground different interpretative perspectives as an attempt to frame the terms of social debate. And the admission of the adoption of ethical assumptions becomes unavoidable, if the faced themes are liberty and love, essential constitutive personal element, but formidable tension in a political dimension.
The Author continues to create visual art and poetry in his Studio in Chelsea, New York.
“Timeless. On the contrary, inside time. And beyond. It rains this light rain of words. Significant. Blunt. Stirring, most of all. / And then the images, evoked, drawn, painted. Strokes and shadows. Black. Intensity , liberty. And love. Thank you Stefano.”
