Anna Galtarossa (Bussolengo 1975) lives and works between S. Pietro In Cariano (VR) and New York. She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera with Alberto Garutti and in 1999 attended the Corso Superiore di Arti Visive of Fondazione Ratti with Haim Steinbach. She is represented by Studio La Città, Verona and Spencer Brownstone Gallery, New York where in 2004 she had her first solo show. In 2007 she started collaborating with Argentinean artist Daniel Gonzalez in two major projects. Chili Moon Town Tour, a floating, itinerating city of dreams that debuted for Mexico Arte Contemporaneo; and Homeless Rocket With Chandeliers, (Lambrate, Milan) a 100-foot crane in daily use. In 2008 Galtarossa participated in the the Turin Triennale curated by Daniel Birnbaum where she created a mechanical, walking 12-foot monster for Verona’s Museo di Castelvecchio. In 2010 her work was part of the show Languages and Experimentations at MART, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
