Rebecca A. Battle

Rebecca A. Battle is based in Los Angeles, California. Her work is steeped in the traditions of the New Topographics movement. She mostly documents the erosion and disappearance of urban and rural America, mostly devoid of human activity. The monographs suggest a sudden occurrence annihilated life. Rebecca uses every day life and its surroundings as if it were ready-made set design. She has traveled outside this box and into terra firma, where her work of California poppies and the magical seascapes of Malibu have been displayed in exhibition.
