Beaconsfield offers a space for artists and audiences to experience high quality ( ‘beacon’),  challenging, new artworks in a wide range (‘field’) of contemporary visual art media through commissions, group exhibitions, performances, publications and events. 

Set up in 1994 the organisation is still directed and curated by its two artist-founders – David Crawforth and Naomi Siderfin – who work collaboratively with the artists they commission from their base in the former Lambeth Ragged School in Vauxhall.
