Poonam Agarwal

Poonam Agarwal has developed a style of her own which is distinctive in its beauty and appeal. Her art is representation of her feelings with a vivid use of colour. Her dream like paintings have beautiful detailing with a serene feel to them.

It was 2004, when she started learning to paint without ever having stepped into an art school.For three years, Poonam learnt all the basics from her art teacher. In 2008, confident of her technique, Poonam started painting by herself, with her imagination as a guide.

The underlying theme in all her paintings is the journey. This, she says, is her internal journey towards love where she is discovering that everyone is one. It is also a realization that one has to ultimately move away from the dualities of life and take shelter in your inner self.

She is fond of works by genuises like salvador dali, Picasso and closer home Ajay De, but not inspired by anyone's work. Ms Poonam Agarwal Believes that, painting is an expression of how one feels and that is what comes accross on the canvases.
