I started drawing when I could no longer find the words I needed to write. Picking up a pen to doodle became so much more; it was a chance for me to communicate feelings that my conscious mind was not even aware of, or able to articulate. Eventually my need for these “doodles” to be larger scale grew. The images on this website are a sampling of the visual conversation happening in my subconscious. I am influenced by various sources, the primary one being music. Each piece begins with one major stroke, and the image is created around it. These cannot be reproduced as they are created in a spontaneous manner, and there is no plan for what I will create.
I work on heavyweight paper, which works well with Faber Castell India Ink Pens or Sharpie Markers.
