Yashua Klos received a BFA at Northern Illinois University. Directly after graduating, he studied for a year in Monflanquin France learning thepainting techniques of the Italian Renaissance at L’Atelier Neo Medici. In 2005 Klos was awarded a residency at The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and in December 2009 recieved an MFA from Hunter College in New York. Klos has shown his work in galleries and non-traditional spaces at home and abroad including The 05 Deitch Art Parade (New York), The Shine Jewelry Outpost (Chicago), and Le Salon De’ville (Monflanquin, France). Klos’s works are in private collections in New York, Chicago, and in the collection of The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in Atlanta.
