How do I enter?

1. Go to your ArtSlant artist profile. Dont' have one yet? See how to open yours (here).

2. Find the Change Box on the right side of your page. Click on "enter Showcase" in the box.

3. The entry form opens. Complete the Showcase entry forms as indicated.

4. There is an entry fee of $2 for each Round. You must have Paypal or a major Credit Card.

5.  Showcase Winners in each round can select the $20 premium placement for Juried voting.

The ArtSlant Prize is a Showcase Series designed to exhibit and promote talented artists from around the world.  The Showcase has 6 Rounds per year, and in each Round artists may enter one image and compete for different stages of winning status.  Our jurors include international gallerists, curators  and other arts professionals.  At the end of our yearly Showcase cycle, the top 3 winning artists receive exhibitions in a top art city or art fair, as well as cash prizes and the possibility of having their work purchased for the ArtSlant Emerging Collection.

>What are the winning stages for each round in the series?

Entry Phase: Approved entries in each Showcase Round will be displayed in the ARTshow for 3-4 weeks. During this time, thousands of ArtSlant visitors will get to see your work. And the ArtSlant Curation Team can look at each artist profile as they make decisions on Showcase Winners.

Mediums: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Installation, Mixed Media, Photography, Video/Computer Art

Showcase Winners: At the end of each round, a group of Showcase Winners are selected by our curation team and reviewers. Selections for Showcase Winners are based upon quality of artwork and the artist's profile display. Premier placement fee will apply. 

Juried Select Winners: Next, our panel of international gallerists and curators choose the top 10 artists from the Showcase Winner group. These Juried Select artists are automatically eligible for consideration by our curatorial team for the year-end ArtSlant Prize exhibition and cash awards. You must get chosen as a Juried Select artist to be eligible for the ArtSlant Prize - you have 6 Rounds to do this!

ARTSLANT PRIZE Winners: At the end of the year, our jurors select the final three winning artists from the group of 60 Juried Select artists  These 3 artists will receive an exhibition in a top art city or art fair, cash awards, and their work will be considered for purchase by the ArtSlant Emerging Collection.

>Who are the jurors?

The ArtSlant Curation Team assembles a Review Panel for each round of the Showcase Series. This Panel reviews the Showcase Winners and determines the Juried Select winning artists. Our panels include international galleries, curators, artists and critics. In the past we have had such people as these serving on our Review Panel:

>What does it cost?

There is a 2$ entry fee for all competing artists for each round.

If selected as a Showcase Winner in any round, a $20 premium placement fee will be charged.  This allows the Showcase Winner to go into the Juried Select competition for that round, and it gives them placement in our ARTshow premium placement display. Each artist may elect to extend their premium placement at 20$/month until such time as they wish to leave the Winner's display.

> What are the prizes?

Showcase Winners: Will be exhibited in the Showcase premium placement box and be promoted to thousands of art watchers and buyers.

Juried Select Winners: Receive special display in our online Showcase exhibition and on our homepage. Winners will be presented in ArtSlant's e-publication to over 60,000 worldwide subscribers. Juried Select Winners automatically go into the final competition for the ArtSlant Prize.

There will be a cash award of $250 given to one artist in each round.

ARTSLANT PRIZE Winners:

1) The top 3 winners will be exhibited by ArtSlant in a prestigious art city or art fair. Exhibits in the past have included Fountain Art during New York Armory Week, and Aqua Art during Art Basel Miami Week.

2) In addition, the 3 winning artists will receive cash awards and cash equivalents totalling over $20,000, as well as exposure, exposre, expore.  

3) Each winning artist will be featured in ArtSlant's Special Edition coverage which goes out to 60,000+ art subscribers around the world.

4) Lastly, there will be work purchased for the ArtSlant Emerging Collection during each ArtSlant Prize exhibit. Purchase awards will be announced during the show.

**Fees from the Artslant Juried Showcase competitions will be dedicated to promoting our winners to the worldwide community of art buyers and art professionals.
