Herco,

Just saw your newest uploads.  Yes it has more color.  One thing for sure is that I can tell that it's your work of art.  You seem to have a way with your paintings that imprints your signature.  Do you use the same tools to paint?  The way you paint is unique to you.

Sincerely,

Jin Hwang

Hi Jin,

how are you? Fine I hope.

To answer to your question, when I finish a work, I take it in Photo, without changing anything and I put Herco copyright afeter having make black around the works with photoshop. ONly after, I put 'Copyright Herco', because I have already seen, as if by chance, one of my work used by somebody for publicity and decoration, I think. But I always sign Herco on my works.

You know, I am not famous and probably never I will become. But it is a question of principles. For me, it is not correct to useworks people dont have made. So I prefer to do like this. I think that in art like others mains, You can meet bad people, who, in front of you, are very gentle, but in the same time, theytry everything to steal your ideas. What do you think about this?

Who knows? Which artist in his own conscience has not dream one day be famous, you will tell me. But it is not my way of thinking now. I want to work and progress yet. Perhaps one day I will decide to live with my art. This question doesn4t exist for me now. I want to excahnge with others artisxts to complete my experience in art, but at the end, You are right, each art only belong to the artist himself.

Cheers

Herco

Hero,

To steal someones work and call it their own is theift, but to not share an idea is depriving.  Great things come about when we all build with shared ideas, concepts, and understanding.  We can not progress, learn, and inspire without these.  Often, a great deal of time must pass before we can all look back and see how history unfolds, that is when it is obvious who was true and who was false.

If someone steals any of your work, you should be flattered, that person who saw something valuable worth stealing.  I am amazed as an artist, that we can take something so worthless, so ordinary, so available to all and transform it to hope, desire, and sorrow.  Making it priceless for those who appreciate its understanding.

Sincerely,

Jin Hwang

Herco,

I see you put the things you do into your artwork.  How long have you been in martial arts?

Your way of life is just like your works of art.  They are one in the same.  How have you been?

Hi I practised for a long time evary art to mix each art in one. But Sef defence with work with knives has my preference, because of when I am paintinf this is like with a knife, fast, fluid,simple,precise...At least, I am trying to do like this. For ma, Martials Arts belong to ART. and the painting technical, for me is the most often the same. In other respects, my choice of colours, often, is based on Black, White an Red which are for me the onlyone martails colours.

I believe, that in the past, Samuraîs had to be excellent in severals Arts :Calligraphic, floral, martial, making the Tee, and sexual for the rest of the Warrior.

So Waht is Callygraphy, painting with fats movement like with a sword.

Do you have practised Martail arts from your conutry of birth, like Hapkido or Taekwondo?

Yes that is right.  I do not do any of that.  It's been a long time.  You seem to create your paintings so fast.  Are all these new for this year?

i like where you are going with the paintings that have some type of structure or solidity to them. for example, townlight, beirut, the last appear to be the strongest works. overall though i like what you are doing. continue experimenting with solid images with abstractions.
