In your works you lead the viewer from one side of the picture to the next. The composition draws the attention across the surface of the picture to rest on finer details to be found on the floor. There is an interplay between the stylistic simplicity of composition and the main objects, like the figures or plants and that of the detail found in the carpets. The use of flat colours and simple stylistic forms reminescent of Japanese woodcuts, give the effect of a graphic novel unfolding. This also creates a presence and story to the picture. One feels as if one is entering into a space where some action has just taken place or where something is about to take place which also gives a sence of expectation. The angle of view is as if the observer is looking into a space either as if through a window or from above. More than just an observor, the viewer is a participator in the space you have created.
