Hi, my name's David and I'm relatively new to Artslant and all it offers! I'm a visual artist from London, spending more time in New York looking to meet, network and possibly collaborate with other artists on future projects. I've exhibited in the UK, Scandinavia and US and look forward to what the future holds regarding my career!

Wishing whoever's reading this a wonderful day and prosperous week ahead!

A pleasure to meet the great Alan Armstrong himself via this virtual world. You produce some amazing and inspirational work Alan. Thanks for the welcome. How is Angel these days? I'm stateside this month or so as I'm exhibiting work at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in NY. I'd like to exhibit somewhere in Europe next, possible Paris if they'd let me! I haven't been there for a while and it's beginning to appeal.  Wishing you a great day!

What is right with the art world?

Interested minds need to know: Tell me David about your show in NY. Where is it being held and for how long. Does the show have a thyme or title? Is there a particular message in your art?

The title "Matrix of Conceptualisation'  ( or 'conceptualization' depending on which side of the pond  you are!) was created after the work was produced.  My paintings have no underlining theme so I guess the message would be bespoke and subjective to each viewer. Two images are relationship focused depicting companionship, lovers and 'loving.' Another is simply a figurative acylic painting of a young woman and the fourth is an abstact painting of a a jazz band entitled ' Let's Jam'

David,

I have given up my former life to become an artist.  I am quite new and quite naive.  Please, tell me, how you became an artist when you frist started and how you feel about being an artist now?

You mentioned that you are going through a developmental stage.

Sincerly,

Jin Hwang
