Description

‘Dashavtar’ is the most experimental theater form of India. This plays usually performed late nights during the festival season in konkan region of India. In this photograph, the artist in upfront is getting ready for his entry. Other two are resting. As soon entry will come, the resting artist will wake up and get involved in role without any difficulty. They get clue about there entry from the music played during the play. This is great example of ‘switch on and switch of theory’ of theater. Apart from this, the fact is that dashavtari artist gets very small remuneration for their work. They even not get good facilities of staying and food too. The depth of field in this photograph is showing the reality behind there glamour.
