DESCRIPTION

Spacex is a leading contemporary art gallery located in the centre of Exeter. Our diverse programme encourages the public to engage with the latest developments in contemporary art through a changing exhibitions programme, which includes new commissions, projects and activities. A significant part of our programme, including artist-led projects, events and research, takes place outside of the gallery. We have an international reputation for presenting ideas from some of the most daring and exciting artists working today.

The gallery based exhibition programme spans artists’ film and video, painting, photography, sculpture, installation and performance. The learning programme provides ways for visitors of all ages to explore and engage with contemporary art. A great deal of our work also takes place outside the gallery through off-site artist-led projects, events and research.

Collaboration lies at the heart of Spacex. We are continually forming long lasting relationships with artists, curators and partners from local institutions through to international organisations, helping to promote sustainable development in the arts.
