Last October, ART SEASONS branched out yet again, expanding this
time to Jakarta, Indonesia. Possessing a mature art market and thriving
art scene, Jakarta was the perfect location to promote contemporary
Chinese art regionally. Its relative proximity to Singapore means that
both galleries are able to work closely and that facilitates even
quicker communication. While less than a year old, Jakarta Art Seasons
has already piqued the interest of the Indonesian arts scene, with
people having already known of our existence in Singapore and Beijing.
Shows such as Yin Kun, and Zhu Wei’s first solo show in Indonesia were
extremely well received.
ART SEASONS JAKARTA is one of the first
galleries in Indonesia featuring a wide selection of Chinese
contemporary art. With the increasing numbers of Indonesian art
collectors, Art Seasons – Jakarta aims to bring Chinese contemporary
& Asian art closer to them. The gallery is also mindful to support
the emerging artists of the region; therefore, majority of the
exhibitions will be showcased in all three galleries in order to gain
maximum exposure for the artists.
