> DESCRIPTION

This exhibition features new encaustic paintings by Chicago artist Dan Addington. Addington creates images based on monuments both real and imagined, using materials that include wax, tar, upholstery fabric collage, and oil paint. The paintings are completed on supports that often project up to 6 inches from the wall, giving the paintings a strong physical presence in the viewer's space.
