Artists Talk: The artists in conversation will be available to listen to online at www.waygood.org.

Photographs and film footage recorded during a paranormal event at Northumberland's Kielder Castle.  It centres on the voices of the mediums evoking the spirits, who asked questions such as “Are you a child?", "Do you mind us being here?" or "...is Mary here again?"

The four mediums took it in turn to summon, encourage and goad spirits believed to be present, into moving a glass on a table, tripping an alarm, or touching the back of someone's neck to 'prove' they were there.

This event took place at night and in near darkness. The only light was either torchlight, or the flashguns of equipment used by both mediums and participants to record or capture what was beyond view.

Prints will be made from film grabs taken when a flashgun went off sporadically during a séance resulted in some fascinating images along with 'paranormal' photographs of the displays at Kielder Castle, creating orbs and tricks of the light.

Waygood presents a summer season of exhibitions before our Art Boutique is included in the transformation of our building into a spectacular new venue for contemporary visual art and artists.
