> DESCRIPTION

The comtemporay art of China has witnessed much exploration and change over the past 30 years, and is again undergoing a period of flux. Artists are rediscovering the value of their own culture, creating works inspired by traditional Chinese aesthetics - a contrast with much recent contemporary Chinese art. Shown for the first time in Japan, this exhibition brings together the work of some 40 emerging artists to present a new stream in contemporary Chinese art.
