Smack Mellon is pleased to offer the unique chance to enter the private studios of our six 2012-2013 fellowship artists. The artists will have work on display that they have been making during the first half of their 11-month residency at Smack Mellon, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists in their studios all weekend. The studios are located in our lower level at 92 Plymouth Street.
The 2012 panelists that selected the Studio Artists were: Elizabeth Ferrer, Director of Contemporary Art, BRIC Arts Media; Janice Guy, Director, Murray Guy Gallery; and Daniel Kunitz, Executive Editor, Modern Painters magazine. Preliminary panelists were: George Boorujy, Tali Hinkis, Esperanza Mayobre, and Jeanine Oleson, artists.
