Connecting the Dots brings together the international Transart Collective and Kamloops artists in a myriad of events, exhibitions, lectures and workshops. A truly global event,Connecting the Dots brings artworks, and some Transart alumni from across North America and countries diverse as Iceland, Japan, Austria, Germany, Egypt and the Philippines, to converge in Kamloops for a series of workshops and exhibitions.
Coordinated by Kamloops artist Tricia Sellmer, member of the Transarts Collective
( http://www.transart.org ) Connecting the Dots grew in a very organic way, as Sellmer initiated collaborations or conversations between artists who she perceived had complementary areas of fascination and methods of working. Connecting the Dots presents artworks in contemporary forms including video, installation, painting, printmaking, sound art, photography, digital media, basketry, performance, and sculpture.
