PICA - Perth Institute of Contemporary Art

Presented in partnership with Kunstmuseum Bonn, Objects. Food. Rooms. is a major exhibition of new and site specific works by Thomas Rentmeister, a leading German artist who has been producing distinctive sculptural and installation works over the last 25 years.

Rentmeister's works play with the traditions of minimalism but have their own particular twist. He piles, models, builds, paints and casts with materials as diverse as potato chips, sugar, nutella, hotel laundry, tissue boxes, nappy rash cream and old refrigerators.

Rentmeister transforms the everyday into the sublime, showing us the beauty of materials we normally ignore.
