Africa: See you, See me has started its itlaian tour from Florence, at fsmgallery – Fondazione Studio Marangoni, where it has been on air from 17 february to 22 april 2011. Thirty-five authors from fourteen countries, have been chosen by Awam Amkpa and Madala Hilaire to illustrate the influences of post-colonial african photography on the visual language of representation of Africa and its diaspora; their works will be visible on the walls of fmsgallery at Fondazione Studio Marangoni, base of the New York University Florence photography classes .
The show has been produced by the Africana Studies Department of New York University for the portuguese foundation Africa.cont and has been opened for the first time in Lisbon at Museu da Cidade on 2010.10.01.
