Wayne Art Center is pleased to announce the opening of Craft Forms 2011, the 17th annual international juried exhibition dedicated to enhancing the public's awareness of contemporary craft while providing a venue for established and emerging artists alike to share their functional and sculptural creative endeavors. Craft Forms continues to earn a rapidly growing reputation as one of the nation's most recognized contemporary craft exhibitions. Selected by juror Elisabeth Agro, the Nancy M. McNeil Curator of American modern and Contemporary Crafts and Decorative Arts at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, this year’s exhibit features 126 pieces of the finest works of ceramics, wood, fiber, metal, glass and mixed medium, chosen from over 900 submissions.
The opening kicks off with the Preview Party on Friday, December 2nd from 6 to 10 pm, featuring festive cocktails, scrumptious hors d’ oeuvres, and fine craft. Tickets are required for the Preview Party.
Craft Forms 2011 is held at the Wayne Art Center, located at 13 Maplewood Avenue in Wayne, PA. The exhibition runs through Saturday, January 21st, 2012 and is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information, visit Craft Forms 2011 online at www.craftforms.com.
