A French graffiti giant and a Danish pop art pioneer meet in Copenhagen and decide to do a show together. They are at different places in life, but share a common background and love of the street. The exhibition FAKE ID's is the result of the artists' encounter and a celebration of the power and creativity that are embedded the urban culture.
Danish artist Huskmitnavn and french artist Horfe both started their career by painting in the streets and they have encouraged a whole generation of young people to find their own creative style and personal expression. Today Huskmitnavn is one of Denmark's leading pop artists and Horfe is one of Europe's most renowned graffiti artists.
To watch Horfe and Huskmitnavn is a reminder of the great artistry that comes out of street art. Thus, apart from bringing together two of our top urban artists FAKE Ids shows how necessary urban art is to our cultural development and how important it is that we treat it with the same respect as we do other art forms.
