Gallery Project presents Artifacts, a multimedia exhibit in which 30 local, regional and national artists engage with both the revered and overlooked objects of contemporary society as an investigation of the cultures which have created them.
The exhibit opens on Wednesday, January 12 and runs through Sunday, February 20. The opening reception is Friday, January 14 from 6-9.
The definition of an artifact is intended to be interpreted broadly, sometimes challenging common notions of what an artifact is and can be. The exhibition includes both artist and the non-artist who have extraordinary stories to tell through the use of objects.
