> DESCRIPTION

Glen G. Guarino will show "Allegro" in Art Connections at George Segal Gallery.  This well-known gallery is on the campus of Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey.  Now in its seventh year, the exhibit is well known for featuring works by local, regional and nationally acclaimed artists.  The show will be open from January 18, 2011 through February 19,2011.  The Artist Reception is January 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Guarino used Northern Red Oak that he rescued locally for the very sculptural music stand.  As with many of his pieces he chose to do a clear hand rubbed finish to allow the beauty of the woods to take center stage.  Not only is "Allegro" beautiful to look at but works very nicely as a music stand.

The exhibition was juried by Lisa Suss.  An exclusive preview tour of the exhibition for collectors will be presented on January 23,2011 at 1:00PM by Patricia Selden.
