> DESCRIPTION

Taking Shelter features works of art that raise awareness about adequate shelter, discuss the qualifiers that define a home, and encourage dialogue about marginalized and homeless populations. The exhibition will include photographs, videos, installations, sculptures, and social interventions that consider these issues. Participants will look at topics related to public and private space and demonstrate how art can take on important issues, acting as a catalyst to build community and lift social consciousness.
