Bea Mocorro: My First One-Girl Exhibit

Bea Ivanica H. Mocorro opened her very first solo art exibit at the Negros Museum, Bacolod City, Philippines, on May 20, at 4:00 p.m.

Guests of honor Alfredo "Amay" Monfort expressed great appreciation of the artworks of Bea and urged everyone to be an encourager for this promising artist, while Bacolod Dance Academy directress Marichit Hofilena, Bea's ballet mentor revealed that it's the spirit in her that makes her stand out in her art, be it in painting or in dance.

The exhibit entitled "My First One-Girl Art Show" features 40 of the young artist's recent works in oil pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, and ballpen.

The youngest active member of the Art Association of Bacolod and Artekalye, Bea also celebrated her 12th birthday during the opening ceremonies of her show which will run from May 20 to June 20.*

Master of ceremonies and fellow artist Dave Palanca holds the birthday cake for the artist-celebrant to blow.
