Amy Leibrand (lives in Columbus, Ohio, USA)
Amy Leibrand is a self-taught image-based artist. She does not consider herself a photographer; rather, she prefers "image architect." Her work in digital, film, and mobile genres has gained international attention through exhibits at the Bastille Design Center (Paris), Berlin Foto Festival, Lunch Box Gallery (Miami), Soho Gallery for Digital Art (NYC) and Columbus Museum of Art (Ohio). Her interest in images is derived from two decades of abstract painting in which she never felt satisfied with results, mostly because of her tendency to become distracted during the process. For her, images provide the instant gratification she longs for. In addition to her two-dimensional work, Amy also builds mechanical, interactive wood constructs that incorporate her photo works.
Amy Leibrand is offering a wide variety of originals for sale in the ArtSlant salesroom (here).
