Kirsty O'Leary-Leeson (b. 1971, Rugby)
My work is underpinned by the phrase “Landscape is a portrait of the soul”
I explore the spaces we exist in, both physical and psychological. Using the landscape which surrounds me as a metaphor for my inner life of imagination and emotion.
Drawing dominates my practice at present as the media most compliments and mirrors my subject matter, which is expressing facets of our existence.
Education: BA Hons, Contemporary Fine Art: 1st Class, Norwich University College of the Arts, 2011. HND, Graphic Design: Illustration, Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and Design, 1992.
Kirsty O'Leary-Leeson was chosen as a Juried Winner in Round #3 of the 2013 ArtSlant Showcase Series.
