Virginia Maria Romero Art Review

This exhibit will feature 34 original works by Virginia Maria Romero.  In 2013 Romero was awarded a certificate as a distinguished artist/poet from the American Council for Polish Culure, and is one of a handful of “Anglos” to be counted among the santera (saint-maker) artists of the American Southwest.  Romero is also a “green” artist, who has made reverence for nature an important theme in her pigmented wood panels, and sculpture, as well as her mixed media and acrylics. Romero's artist profile written by the New Mexico State Historian can be viewed on the New Mexico Office of the State Historian website, under: women, occupations, and biographies:  Artist review written by John Alan Kohan/Sacred Art Pilgrim:  Artist Website:
