I am greatly inspired by the ecosystems, animals, beauty, and fragile environment of the oceans.
The waves, hawks, seagulls, nests, waves, rain drops hitting the sea, the fog and parter fog horn, salty air, the whales majestically appearing, the seaweed washing along the shore, the tides, warm sand, shells, and the vast yet increasingly threatened life and ecoystems on and below the surface of the ocean. Recently I have also been focusing my personal and artistic attention on those who devote their lives to the ocean both to protect it and to make a living from the sea. The families who depend on the ocean for wages and hope that their loved ones will return safe from a voyage at sea.
Many of my artworks are inspired by the ocean and the fragile beauty of the global environment.
The result of this deep love for the ocean and the need to protect the life and the health of our oceans combined with a renewed respect and closeness to those who work the seas, can be seen in many of my art works such as the three part collection called FISHERMEN'S CROSSES. Viewers can find these art works shown in the portfolio gallery.
These crosses are made of materials from the sea and are a manifestation of my love for the ocean
I have exhibited at two major marine museums on the east coast of the United States.
I am very inspired to work together with cause-focused campaigns, ocean organizations and museums, to highlight the beauty and fragile nature of our precious environment.
