Sofia Spirtova (b. Tashkent)
Sofia Spirtova is a self-taught artist based in Auckland since 1995. As an artist she was mostly inspired by impressionists, especially by Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gough. She loves bright colours, because they are great mood elevators and can show how she sees the world around her.
Sofia paints as she feels at the moment - it could be abstract, nature or anything without description to it.
Recently Sofia Spirtova started designing jewellery, so both painting and jewellery making supplement each other in her artistic mind.
For 4 years Sofia Spirtova has been exhibiting throughout New Zealand in group exhibitions and took part at the 2011 Montana WOW Awards Show. She recently started illustrating children's books.
Sofia Spirtova is offering a wide variety of originals and fine art prints for sale in the ArtSlant Salesroom (here)
