Labor Robert was born on Réunion Island, studied at the High School of Visual Arts in Paris, and received his diploma in Design and Visual Art.

He has exhibited throughout France, in Italy and Switzerland, including exhibitions at the Léon Dierx Museum in St. Denis, Réunion, Alternat Gallery in Paris, Le petit Louvre Gallery and Entrée en Matières Gallery in Avignon, the Europ'ART exhibition in Geneva, and the Florence Biennale. In 2007 he installed the CONTEMPORARY Art Figuration public art project on the trams in Portugal.

His work can be found in various public collections on Réunion Island, including the Artothèque Collection, the Léon Dierx Museum Collection, and the Region-Réunion Collection.
