by
Renée Lotenero at PEVETO November 2nd, 2012 - December 15th, 2012

Recently scott has not been able to sell as much art to pay his bills and has resorted to throwing events to sustain his gallery. Scott openly admits his failure, in his bathroom there is a painting that says 'BLACKBALL' which he says he got an employee to make in order to remind him how his ex-wife ha... [more]

Tovarnik (Vukovar), Croatia] Jasna Dragun presents her inherent artistic vision, very courageously and consistently regardless of the technique or motive. (Image: Mark Minier,  A Wintering Tree,  2010, oil on canvas, 18 x 24 inches; © Mark Minier)   Mark Minier (b. 1971, Grand Rapids, MI) It is hard for me to describe my painting process.  I can, but I don't plan out a lot of my work.  I regurgitate it.  My work is at it's best when it is not forced-out but permitted to come forth.  I do what comes naturally and develop what I see.  With most pieces I find an interpretation of what I was experiencing and/or expressing a while later.  I believe... Asian and American artists show works influenced by the Japanese art of sumi with both Western and Eastern traditions in landscape and abstraction..... More: http://alecclayton.blogspot.com/2012/08/summer-dragons.html [more]

Not marble, nor the gilded monuments Of princes, shall outlive this powerful rhyme; But you shall shine more bright in these contents Than unswept stone besmear'd with sluttish time. When wasteful war shall statues overturn, And broils root out the work of masonry, Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burnThe living record of your memory. 'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmityShall you pace forth; your praise shall still find roomEven in the eyes of all posterity That wear this world out... [more]
