“We are dedicated to attract highly successful contemporary Chinese artists back to China as the first step towards retaining its own history”
To become an influential private gallery displaying and dealing in contemporary Chinese art.
To be the most authoritative and influential private gallery displaying and dealing in contemporary Chinese art.
An extensive cooperation with major museums, art foundations, galleries and critics from around the world has laid a good foundation for achieving such an objective. By launching various art exhibitions and exchange activities, Shanghai Gallery of art will become a new and dynamic cultural highlight in Shanghai.
Owned by “Three on the Bund” (House of Three Ltd.) ,SGA first opened in January of 2004. The pursuit of excellence and perfection together with a sound financial backing have created a superior condition for the long-term development of the gallery. During its preparation phase, SGA co-produced the 2002 Shanghai Biennale- Urban Creations with the Shanghai Art Museum. The biennale is the first notation of the gallery’s professional strength and influences, helping to win extensive attentions from domestic and international art circles.
